Devlog 3: Death Screen Update & Super Drones
Rust & Rage » Devlog
Hey everyone!
Another day, another update for Rust & Rage! This one is packed with improvements to gameplay, UI, and even a proper tutorial to help new players dive right in. Let’s break it down:
What’s New This Week?
- New Death Screen: Dying in Rust & Rage isn’t the end—it’s a chance to reflect and improve! The revamped death screen now displays a wealth of stats, including your weapon usage, distance traveled, enemies defeated, and more. It's a satisfying way to see how you performed and what to focus on next time.
- Performance Tracking: Player scripts have been refined to track all sorts of performance metrics, from weapon usage to total distance traveled. This data isn’t just for show—it’ll help me (and you!) fine-tune your strategies.
- Better Endless Mode UI: Endless mode just got a facelift! The improved UI makes it easier to keep track of waves, rewards, and your progress, ensuring you can focus on the action.
- Weapon Tweaks: I’ve made adjustments to weapon damage to ensure more balanced gameplay. Whether you’re using drill bullets, lightning rounds, or flamethrowers, each weapon now feels more distinct and impactful.
- New Enemy: Super Drone: Meet the Super Drone, a dangerous and advanced enemy that will test your reflexes and strategies. These aerial threats add a whole new level of challenge to the battlefield!
- More Sound Effects: The world of Rust & Rage is sounding better than ever with an expanded library of sound effects, making the combat feel more dynamic and immersive.
- Proper Tutorial Added: New to the game? No problem! A proper tutorial has been added to help players get up to speed on the mechanics, ensuring you can jump into the action with confidence.
Looking Ahead
The focus for upcoming updates will be more polish, balancing enemy behavior, and expanding both the arsenal and story elements. Your feedback continues to guide the development process, so keep sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Thanks for being part of this journey. The world of Rust & Rage is evolving fast, and it’s all thanks to your support. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
